At TATZENWOHL, we see animals as sentient beings — they deserve to feel safe, seen, and whole. Our work is rooted in respect, compassion, and the freedom to live with dignity.
TATZENWOHL was born out of a deep sense of responsibility — and love. Love for the animals who walk beside us. Who never ask, yet always give. They offer their hearts unconditionally. They comfort, protect, and teach. They are family. They are truth.
Would your dog have chosen a life in a high-rise without green spaces?
Would your cat have picked the country or the climate you’ve moved through?
Would they have chosen the interventions we decide for them — the surgeries, the restrictions, the lifestyle?
Freedom from hunger and thirst.
Freedom from discomfort.
Freedom from pain, injury, and disease.
Freedom to express natural behaviour.
Freedom from fear and distress.
This is TATZENWOHL
A place of trust. A space of healing. A commitment to every paw, every tail, every truth.
I was born in South Africa and raised in a German household on a farm, surrounded by ostriches, dogs, cats and all kinds of creatures. My love for animals runs deep – shaped by the wide skies of Africa and the gentle rhythm of farm life. I studied Animal Science and later Veterinary Science at the University of Pretoria, driven by an insatiable curiosity and the desire to understand life in all its forms.
